2020 has been nothing short of exhausting. As we await the fate of our nation, we think that everyone could use a little bit of a reprieve from the stress and some hope for the future. There is no one better to deliver joy filled hope than Dr. Jason Campbell, MD (The TikTok Doc) and Joy Sewing. We are thrilled to sit down with both Dr. Campbell and Joy to cover some challenging topics facing out nation today in a balanced and hopeful way. Joy is the Lifestyle and Culture Columnist at The Houston Chronicle, author of “Ava and The Prince,” host of The Joy Hour, and founder of Year of Joy. Joy holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Houston and a master’s in business management from Webster University. She was a journalism fellow for issues surrounding Latin America and African Diaspora and Houston’s first professional black figure skating coach.


In 2016 she began her personal journey to live a more joy filled life that she named Year of Joy that later expanded to a 501(C)(3) with a mission to spread to joy to children form underserved communities. Joy was awarded the Houston Humanitarian Award in 2017 as part of Houston Random Acts of Kindness Day.
